MY BRIEF STORY
Joe was born in a small rural town in Pahokee, and raised in Bartow by his parents Leroy Sr, and Annie. Since his parents were farm workers, he decided to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. Leroy decided to make the Army a career. During his time in the service, he became proficient in his military occupation as a food service specialist, so he excelled throughout the ranks and became a senior non-commissioned officer leading his team to become winners of the coveted Phillip A. Connelly Award for excellence in Army Foodservice. During his service, he attended several leadership academies and enrolled in college courses that would enhance his academic abilities. Immediately after retirement from the military, Leroy continued to serve in the community as a board member for the West Bartow Front Governor's Initiative, team captain of the All Pro Dads program, board member for the Wings of Eagles International, board member for the Architectural Review board in the city of Bartow. During the recent pandemic, he founded Humanitarian Outreach Ministries Inc. Amongst other accomplishments, Leroy graduated with a bachelor's degree from the College of Theology in Christian Studies at Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona.

Leroy Joe, Jr. Founder
Joe, Jr., was born in Pahokee, Florida to the parents of Joe, Sr. and Annie Doris Joe, was raised in Bartow and attended Bartow public schools, graduated from Bartow Senior High School. Leroy is married to Vera for 33 years together they have 4 beautiful children Tamonte, DeAndre, Darien and LaShonta. Immediately following high school, he entered in the United States Army 1977 where he served for 22 years while serving in the United States Army he earned numerous awards and medals. He led a team of soldiers to win the coveted Phillip A. Connelly Award for Excellence in Army Food Service 1995. During his tenure in the military he has been involved with various ministries serving the Lord ministering in nursing homes and prisons (McNeil Island Correctional Institution) and a humanitarian mission in Guantanamo Bay Cuba 1994-1995. Since being retired from the military he has been involved in the community where he has served as a board member for the West Bartow Front Porch Governor's Initiative, former team captain for All Pro Dad's Program, former board member of Wings of Eagles International formerly served as a board member for The City of Bartow's Historical Architectural Review Board (board resinded) and mentor at Bartow Senior High School. He is currently employed with Polk County Clerk of Courts as deputy clerk for the Felony Division. Ordained into gospel ministry in 1996 under Shekinah Glory Evangelistic Ministries Inc. (Lovinac Outreach Ministries) Tacoma Washington under the leadership of Dr. Eugene Satterwhite. Served as Associate Pastor of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Gordonville, Florida. Former ministry leader for men's group New Life Outreach Ministries under the direction of Larry Mitchell. Founder of Humanitarian Outreach Ministries Inc. 2021) Attended Central Texas College Certificate Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts I, II,III 1980-1982, Earned an Undergraduate Certificate in Biblical Studies from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia 1999. Graduate of Grand Canyon University College of Theology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Studies 2014.

In 1994 while serving on active duty in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba on a humanitarian mission I witnessed first-hand the devastation of humans who were ousted from their native countries. As time progressed and the years to come a vision is seeing something now the present and watching it come to fruition in the days to come I began to see (Vision) the need to serve humanity in a compassionate way. The world as we know it these days need caring and compassionate servants. The time has come to fruition and the vision is upon us in the 21st century.

I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. Doing your best looks different everyday. You know how sometimes you are able to fill your gas tank all the way, and other days you can only put a few dollars in? The same applies to your life. Some days you get a lot done, and others just getting out of bed feels like an accomplishment. The point is to do your best and keep moving forward.
Nobody owes you anything in life. In spite of your best efforts and intentions, there will always be people who don't support you or don't believe in you and that's okay. It's not their job to. You have to be your biggest fan always.
Hope is having something to look forward to look forward not behind because God is waiting for you!
As much as it's important to forgive others for the wrong they've done, it's equally important to forgive yourself. Some of us are holding onto things from the past that are causing us to feel like we don't deserve happiness. Today declare that you forgive yourself and will let go of things that are holding you back. Learn and grow from each experience.
You can start something new whenever you want. You can start today, next week, or next month. You can change your life whenever you want, whether or not you feel ready or not and whether or not the timing is "right." You always have the ability to create change in your life, you just have to take the first jump.
The biggest mistake we make in life is we think we have time. Time is free but it's priceless. You can't own it but you can use it. You can't keep it but you can spend it. And once it's lost, you can never get it back.
Everything changes when you realize that your diet isn't just what you eat; it's what you watch, what you read, who you follow and who you spend time with. If your goal is to have a healthier mind this year, start by removing the junk from your diet.
You'll never have your whole life figured out. Your future will always be uncertain, unclear and unpredictable. And this is why life so exciting, because exploring is more fun than following a rigid plan - explore forever.
